With the country in an election cycle that includes a Presidential election, there…

With the country in an election cycle that includes a Presidential election, there will be plenty of negativity coming from many directions. There will be no shortage of misinformation and outright false information.

Honestly, I don't care which candidate that you support but please try to get your facts straight and don't just parrot what you see/hear somewhere else. Think for yourself, do your own research. It helps the whole country when people are engaged in the process and informed.

As tough as it will be at times, I am going to refain from getting involved in the negativity. Be curteous to each other and respect the right of someone to have a different opinion than you. Debate from a position of knowledge, not sound bytes.

There’s an adage among lawyers that says, “If the facts are on your side, you argue the facts; if the law is on your side, argue the law; and if neither is on your side, attack your opponent.”

I realize this is an election not a court case but attacking a candidate instead of arguing for your candidate's better plan suggests that your candidate doesn't have a better plan.

Peace and happiness.
